How to Draw a Bull (Cartoon)

Written step-by-step video tutorial:
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a short diagonal line for the bull's first eyebrow. Now draw another short, diagonal line facing the opposite direction for the second eyebrow. Curve the outer tips of the eyebrows down and the inner tips up. Don't place the lines too far apart.
Step 2: Below each eyebrow, draw a curved line for the bottom edge of the eyes. The bull's eye on the right should be a bit smaller because of the angle that the head will have. Inside each eye, at the top, draw a small dot for the pupils.
Step 3: Draw a curved line above each eye to emphasize the cartoon bull's thick brow. Draw a vertical line under the eyes, near the right, for the bridge of the nose.
Step 4: Under the eyes, draw two small circles and shade them in for the nostrils. Don't draw the nostrils too far down or your bull will have a long face. Add a curved line over each nostril.
Step 5: Starting below the nostril on the right, draw a line that curves to the right to create the mouth. The bull's mouth should extend toward the right and end next to the other nostril.
Step 6: Draw a line parallel to the bull's mouth underneath for the chin.
Step 7: On either side of the bull's face, draw a curved line for the bottom half of the head.
Step 8: Draw the cartoon bull's ears at the top of the head, on the sides, using a couple of curved lines. The ear on the right should be a bit smaller because of the angle of the head.
Step 9: Above the ear on the left, draw a short vertical line that's made up of quick, short strokes for the base of the horn. Now to the left, draw two short, parallel horizontal lines for the bottom part of the horn. Curve those lines up and to the right, so that they meet at a point and form the tip of the bull's horn.
Step 10: Draw the bull's other horn the same way but make it a bit shorter. Start with the base that's made up of quick, short strokes above the ear. Then draw the actual horn that's made up of two lines that curve up and come to a point.
Step 11: Between the horns, draw a couple of curved lines for the top part of the head. Use quick, short strokes to form the lines for the bull's head. The head should curve down toward the eye on the right.
Step 12: Draw two curved lines to the left of the head for the top part of the bull's first leg. The line on the left should be longer and should curve more at the bottom so that it's similar to the letter L. Add another short line to the right and almost directly under the first line.
Step 13: Continue drawing the bottom half of the leg by first drawing a curved line between the previous shorter lines. This line should curve down and to the left to create the bent front leg. Draw the bull's hoof pointing to the left using short, curved lines. Split the hoof at the bottom.
Step 14: Draw a long curved line to the left of the leg for the bottom part of the cartoon bull's body. Add a couple of short, curved lines on the right too.
Step 15: Draw two wavy lines that are slightly tilted diagonally for the top part of the other front leg. Close the bottom part to form the hoof. Add a line to split the bull's hoof.
Step 16: Starting on the top, right side of the bull's head, draw a long curved line that's similar to a little hill for the back. Add a shorter curved line on the left for the rump.
Step 17: Draw the first hind leg on the left side using a series of curved lines. The top part of the bull's leg should be thicker than the bottom. The leg should bend at the middle. Add the hoof at the bottom and draw a short line to split it.
Step 18: To the right, draw the bottom half of the other hind leg the same way.
Step 19: On the top, left side of the body, draw a two long, curved parallel lines for the bull's tail. At the end of the tail, draw the brush- like tip using a series of quick, short strokes.
Step 20 (optional): Below the first front leg, draw a series of small curved lines to represent the dust this charging bull is kicking up. The overall shape of the dust should be similar to small cloud.
Step 21: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the lines to make your cartoon bull drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.
Final Step: Color your bull drawing using color pencils, markers or even crayons! Use dark brown or black for the body. Use yellow for the horns and dust, light brown for the ears and muzzle, and gray for the hooves. Don't forget to pause the video to draw at your own pace.
