Please PAUSE the "How to Draw an Anglerfish" video after each step to draw at your own pace.
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a circle as a guide for the anglerfish's body. The circle doesn't have to be perfect. It's just a guide. Leave enough room on the sides for the big mouth and the tail.
Step 2: Draw an angled line on the right side of the circle as a guide for the anglerfish's open mouth. The shape of the line should be similar to the letter V.
Step 3: Draw another angled line under the anglerfish's mouth as a guide for the big jaw. Make the teeth different sizes. They can even overlap each other.
Step 4: Draw a big arc on the left side of the circle as a guide for the back portion of the anglerfish's boy. Add a couple of shorter lines at the front that connect the mouth to the body.
Step 5: Draw a straight line on top of the head with a circle at the end for the anglerfish's lure.
