The Written step-by-step video tutorial:
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a circle as a guide for the middle section of the warthog's body. First make four small marks to indicate the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. If you're struggling to draw the circle, trace the outer rim of a coin, a lid or any other object with a circular edge. For a more detailed guide on the different ways to draw a circle check out this tutorial: Four simple ways to draw a circle.
Step 2: On the top, left side, draw a smaller circle as a guide for the warthog's head the same way. This circle should be about half the size of the first one. Leave a bit of space between the circles.
Step 3: On the bottom, left side of the head, draw a small arc as a guide for the warthog's muzzle. First make a small mark outside of the circle, then connect the mark to the circle using curved lines.
Step 4: Inside the head, near the top, draw a curved, horizontal line to help you place the warthog's facial features later on. Now draw a sloping , vertical line across the whole head for another guide line.
Step 5: At the top of the head, on the sides, draw two small, pointy arcs as guides for the warthog's ears.
