The Written step-by-step video tutorial:
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a circle near the middle of the paper as a guide for Gallimimus' body. First make four marks to determine the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. If you're struggling to draw the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a coin or a lid. For a more detailed guide on the different ways to draw a circle check out this tutorial: Four simple ways to draw a circle.
Step 2: Draw the guide for the front part of the Gallimimus dinosaur's body by first making a small mark on the right side. Connect the mark to the circle using curved lines to create an arc on its side. The arc should slope up to the right a bit. The combined shapes should be similar to an egg.
Step 3: On the right side, draw a long, wavy line that curves upward as a guide for the dinosaur's neck. Pay attention to the length of this line. On the left, draw an even longer horizontal line as a guide for the tail. Curve this line a bit too. The line for the Gallimimus' tail should be a lot longer than the line for the neck.
Step 4: At the end of the line on the right, draw a small circle as a guide for the head. Gallimimus had very small heads, so don't draw this circle too big.
Step 5: On the right side of the head, draw a small arc on its side as a guide for the Gallimimus dinosaur's muzzle. Below that, draw a thinner arc on its side as a guide for the lower jaw.
