Please PAUSE the "How to Draw a Kitten" video after each step to draw at your own pace.
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a circle as a guide for the kitten's head. The circle doesn't have to be perfect. It's just a guide.
Step 2: Draw two intersecting curved lines inside the head as guide lines to help you place the kitten's facial features later on.
Step 3: Draw a small circle on the lower part of the head as a guide for the kitten's muzzle. Use the lines inside as guides for the placement of the circle.
Step 4: Draw two triangle-like shapes on top of the head as guides for the kitten's ears.
Step 5: Draw a circle that's a little bit bigger than the head as a guide for the pack portion of the kitten's body. Don't place the circle too far away, or your kitty will end up too long. Notice that the top of this circle is aligned with the lower part of the kitten's ear.
