The Written step-by-step video tutorial:
For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.
Step 1: Draw a circle near the middle of the paper as a guide for the front part of the woolly rhinoceros' body. First make four small marks to determine the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. If you're struggling to draw the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a bowl or a lid. For a more detailed guide on the different ways to draw a circle check out this tutorial: Four simple ways to draw a circle.
Step 2: To the left, draw another circle as a guide for the back portion of the body. Use the four-marks method to draw this circle too. Make this circle smaller. The edges of the circles should touch. If you space the circles too far apart, the woolly rhinoceros' body will be too long.
Step 3: On the left side, draw a smaller circle as a guide for the woolly rhinoceros' head. The edges of the circles should touch. Place this circle close to the bottom.
Step 4: Under the head, draw a long, curved line as a guide for the woolly rhinoceros' muzzle. This curved line should be similar to a big letter U that's tilted.
Step 5: On the top, left side of the woolly rhino's head, draw two tiny arcs as guides for the ears.
