Step 6: To the right of the first circle, draw a curved line as a guide for the sperm whale's flipper. The shape of this guide should be similar to a letter U that's tilted to the left.

Step 7: Below the tip on the right, draw a short, horizontal line as guide for the tail. Use two sloping lines to connect the horizontal line to the body to complete the guide for the sperm whale's tail.

Step 8: Inside the first circle, near the lower, right side, draw a tiny oval for the sperm whale's eye. Lightly shade the inside of the oval for the eye's iris and pupil. Don't draw the eye too big. Notice how small it is in relation to the rest of the head. Draw a couple of short lines above and below the whale's eye for the eyelids. Draw longer curved lines around the eyes for extra detail on the structure.

Step 9: Near the bottom of the head, draw a long, wavy horizontal line for the top part of the open mouth. The line should end at the edge of the first circle. Sketch lightly at first and darken the line when you get the shape right. Below this line draw a sloping horizontal line for the lower part of the sperm whale's open mouth. Follow the path of the guide at the bottom to draw another horizontal line for the lower jaw. The lines curve on the left side to form the front part of the open mouth.
