To draw this cartoon Llama step by step, follow along with the video tutorial below and pause the video after each step to draw at your own pace. You may find it easier to follow the step-by-step drawings below the video. The new lines in each step are shown in red, so you'll know exactly what to draw next. You may want to open the video in a new tab and use both drawing methods. Take your time and draw at your own pace.

For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.

Step 1: Draw two small ovals for the llama's eyes. Inside each eye, draw two tiny circles to represent glare. Shade the eyes except for the tiny glare circles. With every step, sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. When you get the shapes right, darken the lines.

Step 2: Under the eye on the right, draw a Y-shaped line for the nose. To the right, draw a line that curves down and to the left for the cheek and bottom of the head. To the right of the eye, draw a short line for the side of the llama's head.

Step 3: Draw three short, curved lines above the eyes for the first part of the wool on the head. On the right side, extend the line upward so that you create the top part of the llama's head too. Use a couple more lines at the top so that the resulting shape is similar to a cloud.

Step 4: On the left side, draw a triangular shape with a couple of curved lines at the bottom for the ear. Add a line inside the ear for structure. To the right, draw a similar shape for the llama's other ear.

Step 5: On the left side of the face, draw a series of short, curved lines for the outer edge of the wool on the head. To the right, close to the eye, draw a few more curved, short lines for the inner edge of the llama's wool.
