Step 11: Under the body, draw six short, curved lines for the owl's toes. Place the lines close to each other and don't make them too long.
Step 12: Draw a short line on either side of the owl's toes for the top part of a branch. Draw a longer horizontal line below the toes for the bottom part of the branch.
Step 13: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the lines to make your cartoon owl drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.
Final Step: Color your cartoon owl drawing using color pencils, markers or crayons! Use light brown to outline the color separation on the owl's head, face and body. Color the inside light brown. Use dark brown to color the "horns," the brows and the folded wings. Use regular brown for the rest of the body. Add the colors lightly at first and gradually build up to what you like. Use dark brown for the toes and branch. For a gradient effect on the eyes, color the top part yellow-orange and the bottom part yellow. Use yellow-orange for the owl's beak too.
