That's it for the initial sketch of a hamster! From this point on, press harder with your pencil to get a more defined sketch.
Step 6: Draw the eye on the upper right side of the head. The shape of the hamster's eye is similar to an over-inflated football. Inside the football shape, draw a circle for the pupil. Shade in the pupil but leave a portion blank to represent glare.
Step 7: Use the initial lines as guides to tighten the shape of the ears. Give the hamster's ears a more angular shape to represent the different folds and indentations. Draw some lines within the shape to represent the inner structure. Tighten the visible part of the other ear too.
Step 8: Draw the hamster's muzzle at the tip of the egg shape. The nose resembles the letter V with a line under it for the mouth. Use quick, short stokes around the hamster's muzzle to represent whiskers.
Step 9: Use the egg shape as a guide to draw the hamster's head. Go around the egg shape using quick, short stokes to give the head a furry look.
